future of flex

We use Adobe’s flex, which is currently undergoing some radical change. Does this mean our project is threatened? Is flash and thus flex is a slowly dying technology?

The bottom line for us is: for NOW flash/flex is the best technology for our purposes, there is simply no reliable  and fast alternative with a broad installation base. Java is nice but not available on many computers. HTML5 is not mature and fast enough for our purposes. And we are pretty sure that this is going to stay this way for at least another 2-3 years.

We don’t want to wait until HTML5 does what flash can do for us today. Until then, we are going to have a lot of fun using flex.
